MISSION, VISION AND VALUES
Mission
Sharing in the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus and in accordance with the mission of the Catholic Health System, the CPE program strives to provide a chaplain formation program for ordained and lay persons. In the spirit of the Second Vatican Council, the program is inclusive of persons of different faiths and cultures ministering to others regardless of their background.
Our model of education includes opportunities for experience in ministry combined with qualified supervision and peer group reflection. We encourage students to actualize their potential in the deepening of their pastoral identity and to develop their awareness and commitment to care of the vulnerable regardless of economic or social status as a mark of excellence in their educational process.
