Buffalo Sister Helps Kenya Through FIOH

Sister Linda GlaeserSister Linda Glaeser, a sister of St. Joseph, has completed another extensive stay in Kenya, Africa. She was part of a team from FIOH, Future in Our Hands. This is a non-governmental organization created in response to the dire needs of the poor in Kenya.

Founding members of FIOH-USA, Buffalonians, Michele Sprada and Sister Linda Glaeser, SSJ, have traveled to Kenya for several summers and worked closely with FIOH - Kenya. Through their first hand experience of seeing extreme poverty in Kenya and the good work that FIOH - Kenya had started, they realized that much more needed to be done. They responded by founding FIOH - USA in order to give generous individuals an opportunity to participate in the fight against poverty in Kenya and other locations around the world. The source of much of the infomation on this page is from the FIOH website which can be viewed at http://futureinourhandsusa.org/.

Sister Glaeser wrote 20 journals during her stay in Africa and a final journal after returning. Some journals cover multiple days. These journals can be read here. It is recommended that you read them in order.
