Meaning of the Knights' Emblem

This is the Emblem of our Order! A Maltese Cross, transfixed with two Swords.

The Eight Points of the Cross are the signs of the Eight Beatitudes which members must ever preserve; namely:

1. Be poor in spirit
2. Be meek
3. Be sorrowful over sin
4. Desire justice
5. Be merciful
6. Be clean of heart
7. Be peaceable
8. Suffer for Christ's sake and an eternal reward
