Spiritual Direction is a conversation in which one assists another to recognize and integrate God's presence and direction in all aspects of life. We can nurture our spiritual life and our inner faith journey by regularly meeting with a spiritual guide or a person who has been trained in spiritual direction. Unlike counseling, spiritual direction focuses on discovering the Sacred within you and how it can penetrate every aspect of your life. All of life is included in the conversation.

In the area of spiritual direction our purpose is:
1. To provide spiritual direction to individuals and groups
2. To train lay people and religious to become spiritual directors

The Center can arrange for you to meet with a spiritual director on a weekly, monthly or as needed basis. Depending on your means an offering of $20 to $50 per hour would be appreciated. At the Center there are staff members from various Christian traditions who have a wealth of experience. Though the Ignatian tradition is foremost, application of the Carmelite, Benedictine and eastern traditions are also offered.

Initially, you would speak to a staff member and be offered several names that might be a good match for you. You may choose to interview with all of the names given to you before you decide who would suit you best. All directors are trained and experienced in spiritual direction.
